View of Greenpoint (with Williamsburg in the foreground) from the area. The tallest building in Greenpoint when this picture was taken (Sep 20, 2004) is the 1875 St. Anthony's church at 862 Manhattan Ave. Its white spire visible at the right/middle of the picture is 240 feet tall.

this is quite a pictue... I'm ligally blind, and have to use a magnifier program to look at the picture ....I don't have a clear view, but man the place looks huge! I'm in Northeast louisiana but origionally from up-state NY ... my wife thinks the town we live in is 'large'... Ha, I say! I never felt Monroe, Louisiana was big... any way, I like your photo's... my blog is at www.dtaverne.blogspot.com give me a visit some time...
